How to fight Illinois Tollway fines? ›

As a customer, you have the right to dispute your charges by filling out a sworn Affidavit of Non-Liability and providing documentation as to the nature of the dispute.

You can dispute a violation by filling out the "Contest of Notice" portion of your "Notice of Toll Evasion." This notice is typically mailed to you within two weeks of driving The Toll Roads without paying. Please include a written explanation for contesting the violation.

That's right, you can breathe a sigh of relief and avoid that awkward conversation with your boss about needing a carpool buddy.

The Tollway allows for payment plans of up to 24 months to pay the entire amount. The Tollway uses your financial information, the amount you owe, and your proposed payment amount to determine the length of payment plan.

If you don't have an IPass or E-ZPass, drive through the tollway and then look your license plate up on the Illinois tollway website to pay.
