The following information will help you prepare for your appointment and expedite your experience.

If you’re a new patient, you can expect your doctor and technician to perform a thorough history and visual exam lasting one to two hours. Your physician might request you undergo additional tests, such as a visual field exam, which takes 20 to 30 minutes to perform.

If you need to cancel your appointment, please notify the center at least 24 hours in advance so that we can accommodate other patients waiting to schedule an appointment.

To accurately follow your entire visual pathway, your doctor might dilate your eyes. Your pupils will take between 20 to 30 minutes to dilate, during which time you may sit in the waiting or exam room. If you anticipate your exam will include dilation, you might want to arrange for someone to drive you to and from your appointment.
